GA District 6 Greg Palast Exclusive. More problems for Jon Ossoff's rival.

GA District 6 is another test of Trump’s toxic influence on the GOP.  The district has been held by Repubs since Newt Gingrich was elected in 1979.  Dem Jon Ossoff leads by 7% in the latest polls. This is the runoff.  In  the original special election to replace Tom Price, Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Ossoff received 48.1% of the votes to Repub Karen Handel’s 19.8%.

Greg Palast has been investigating voter suppression for a long time, more recently he has focused on CrossCheck.

 The GOP's Stealth War Against Voters

Joan McCarter diaried about Greg’s Rolling Stone article; Kris Kobach has yet another plan to rig the election for Republicans.  More recently Chris Reeves wrote about Kobach’s possible run for KA Governor; Kansas Secretary of State and Trump alcolyte Kris Kobach announces his run for Governor

Greg was also investigating what happened to the Asian-American community in the 6th district which represents about 9% of the votes (this is another story) and lean Democratic.

So he decided to attend a press conference type event held by Karen Handel to ask her questions about voter suppression using Crosscheck in her district and this is what happened;

Once she didn’t like the questions, her thugs got physical, grabbed and pushed him and prevented him from interaction with Handel.  Certainly not what happened in Montana  with Gianforte but in the same category of media manhandling.

So here is the exclusive Greg Palast gave me yesterday;

I intend to file assault charges against GOP candidate Karen Handel and the three goons she had assault me after I asked her a difficult question. My attorneys will be asking Handel to provide the names of her goons.  I will not file a criminal complaint if she simply answers the questions that she ducked by having her thugs mishandle this reporter.

Bottom line, if Asian-Americans and other minorities had not been suppressed by Crosscheck, Jon Ossoff would have probably won the primary.

I had met Greg before but yesterday I got to know him more when we did lunch.

I learned a lot about investigative journalism (or lack of it).  Help us get the word about this possible lawsuit, it will certainly not help Handel and it may help Ossoff.

One of these days we will stop the Republican grand strategy of voter suppression that got started by Paul Weyrich;
