Trump, Giuliani, mob bosses and semantics

Trump’s relations with New York mafias goes way back; Donald Trump's Mafia Connections: Decades Later, Is He Still Linked to the Mob?  They liked him too; Mob Boss James ‘Whitey’ Bulger Was a Trump Supporter, Prison Letters Show

And let’s not forget the Russian mafias; Trump’s ties to the Russian mafia go back 3 decades

One thing about mob bosses is how they talk.  A mob boss doesn’t say “Go kill that guy”, a mob boss only has to say “I don’t like that guy”.  Trump probably never said “I want a bribe” or “I want to extort something from Ukraine”.  Trump probably just said “I want Ukraine to do something”. But no quid pro quo, right?

His Republican acolytes in Congress are trying a semantics defense.  Trump didn’t say this or that.

But mob bosses are found guilty and sent to jail regardless of the language they use. If one of his acolytes goes and kills the guy he said he didn’t “like” and gets caught, the mafia Don will probably throw him under the bus hopping that it stops there.  And if and when the murderer gets out of jail he will be rewarded if he doesn’t say what “motivated” him.

IMO and others, our mafia Don POTUS will probably throw Giuliani, his henchman, under the bus.

But Giuliani is not the average henchman and it may backfire;

Rudy Giuliani calls Trump ‘very loyal’ but jokes he has ‘insurance’ just in case

. Rudy Giuliani says he believes President Donald Trump will remain loyal to him but jokes that he has “very, very good insurance” should the president decide, as a reporter says, to “throw him under a bus.”

. As the impeachment inquiry heats up, Republicans are weighing whether to blame Giuliani for Trump’s irregular foreign policy in Ukraine.

If Giuliani turns on Trump he will end up in jail and not just impeached.
