Plenty of Bernie flyers and even a table and a PA at NoHo

We are getting organized.  The team of 10 Bernie volunteers showed up at the North Hollywood Metro station at 8:30AM yesterday.  (Two missing in the photo because they were too busy talking to people that they gave flyers to)

This time we didn't run out of flyers like last Saturday; We ran out of Bernie flyers.

We also brought a table to sign people up;

We set up things in a different place and we were asked to move because it was "Metro" property so we set up on the sidewalk since it is "city" property.  Live and learn.

The evangelical preachers were half block away doing their very loud thing;

As someone suggested last week, I actually tried to talk to them to get an idea of how to bring them on board with Bernie. Soon I found myself surrounded by three of them yelling at me.  These guys are extremely focused on their interpretation of the Bible which may not be shared by other evangelicals.  Politics mean nothing to them, nothing. When I defended Darwin they almost lost it.  They reject all science.

Between them and us there was some Jehova's Witnesses.  I was able to talk to them and had a great exchange. I concluded they would support Bernie but I decided to continue the process next Saturday.  Later on yesterday I went to a funeral reception in Santa Clarita where there were many Jehova's Witnesses and I was told that their religion discourages them from participating in politics and from voting. Oh well!

Once again I was surprised how many people wanted to know more about Bernie and were very happy to talk to us about issues.  Most agreed that they would become more familiar with Bernie on the Internet.  This time I didn't run into any tRumpers and only one person refused a flyer because he supported Hillary.

We even said a few things over the PA system.  David was very eloquent as he tried to cover the issues.  I was more direct and proclaimed the start of a political revolution.  We all agreed that we were going to rehearse our speeches and become more like the evangelicals down the street.

It was very hot, over 100 degrees.  We agreed that next Saturday we will bring bottle water to offer those who come to the table.  BTW, most of the volunteers scatter around the station and only one or two of use stay at the table.

One of the volunteers, young Emily (not on the photo), drove all the way from Camarillo (about 1 hour away) she joined the political revolution the day Bernie declared.  Emily organized a "chalk the block for Bernie" three weeks ago.

We plan to do voter registration too.

If you can make it next Saturday let us know;
