The political revolution comes to Sepulveda and Ventura

So I scheduled a Honk for Bernie at the busiest intersection of the San Fernando Valley and perhaps all of Greater Los Angeles, Ventura and Sepulveda boulevards by the Sherman Oaks Galleria made famous by Frank Zappa's Valley Girl.

6 people volunteered through the official BernieSanders.com site and the Facebook event.

I scheduled it at 5PM, the middle of rush hour.

I got there early to look at the traffic flow and figure out where to stand.

At 5PM I was there alone but what the heck, I started.  I got a couple of honks which made me happy.

All of a sudden, 2 guys who were sitting and smoking a cigarette about 30 feet away started yelling all sorts of nasty things about Bernie and his supporters.  I did ask them if they were going to vote for Trump and they did not deny it. I took a photo of them and ignored them.  They kept it up for a long time.  Eventually one of them called me a moron. They reminded me of those guys who bullied me for years (long story).  My "dark side" took over and I confronted them so they left.

Soon Daniel and Susan showed up.  Yulie came a little later.  FYI, it turns out we are all Latinos for Bernie.

It was amazing.  For the next 2 hours we had hundreds of honks.  We were very happy.  People walking by asked us questions about Bernie and we gave them fliers.  4 bus drivers honked (they are not supposed to).  An undercover cop honked (you know how to recognize their cars, don't you).  Truck drivers.

So many honks that I was afraid the restaurants nearby would complain to the police.  It got noisy.

About a dozen rolled down their windows and screamed obscenities and flipped us birds.  Probably more tRumpers.

Daniel, who does honking for Bernie events in two other events tells me that the number of honks has doubled since he started two months ago.  The Bernmentum keeps growing.

About 7PM it got dark (people kept honking) so we left.  But we decided that we are going to do it every Wednesday.  We had a lot of fun.  Bernie will own that busy intersection going forward.

The bully tRumpers that left.

UPDATE:

Based on the comments by annieli and TakeSake, if anyone wants to organize Honks for Bernie in other heavy intersections go ahead and Kosmail me and I'd love to exchange information.
